OnePlus had released the first OxygenOS 12 update based on Android 12 to the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro in the first week of October 2021. It brought new Android 12 features as well Canvas AOD improvements, Work-Life Balance 2.0, and much more to the high-end smartphones. Additionally, the update also introduced a couple of changes to the Gallery app and fixed some known issues. Now, OnePlus has released the OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2 update to the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro. The second OxygenOS Open beta update, which is based on the Android 12 operating system, brings some camera improvements, system optimizations, the November 2021 security patch, and a bunch of additional bug fixes.

The company has also optimized the fluency of the status bar, battery life, and charging speed with the new software. The OxygenOS 12 Open Beta 2 update also fixes the low-probability issue of the status bar, automatic brightness, cloud service-related issues, and brings the latest November 2021 security patch. OnePlus has also fixed some known bugs related to the camera and notifications that were found on the previous version of the update.
