OnePlus is offering free battery replacements for owners of the OnePlus 3 series, the OnePlus 5 series, and the OnePlus 6 lineups in India. This news comes from a user on Reddit. If you own a OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6, or a OnePlus 6T, you can get a free battery replacement from the company. However, you will have to spend some labour costs, which is ₹473 for the OnePlus 5T. The free battery replacement can be done at any OnePlus service centre in India. According to the details shared by a user on Reddit, this free battery replacement only applies for walk-in services and not for courier pickups.

The reason behind the company offering a free battery replacement isn’t known as of now. However, it is obvious that OnePlus just wants to make sure that it clears the available battery stocks of the OnePlus 3, OnePlus 5, and the OnePlus 6 series devices. OnePlus isn’t publicizing this scheme as the brand may face a demand-supply mismatch. If you have plans to use any of the handsets mentioned above for a longer period, now is the best time to replace the battery without incurring any huge cost.
