OnePlus rolled out the Open Beta version of the OxygenOS 12 to its Nord CE 2 5G smartphone last month. Now, it is ready to push the stable Oxygen OS 12 based on Android 12 OS. The smartphone made its debut in early 2022 with OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11 OS onboard and is set to receive a major Android upgrade within months of its launch.
The new update packs all the goodness of Android 12 along with new OxygenOS features and the July security patch. The OxygenOS 12 adds new desktop icons with improved textures, optimised AI System Booster, improved face recognition, three levels of Dark Mode, new style options for Cards, Work Life Balance feature, new Gallery features, Canvas AOD, and more.
This is an OTA update and will be seeded in a phased manner. So, keep checking for the update notification on your handset. OnePlus recommends that your device must be charged up to at least 30 percent and should have at least 5GB of internal storage free before attempting this upgrade. Also, make sure you have taken a backup as major OS upgrades like these might wipe your data. Let’s have a look at the detailed changelog below.
