OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite To Come With Android 12, 120Hz Display, 33W Fast Charging

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is set to be the cheapest OnePlus smartphone in India. However, it doesn’t mean it will run on the Android 11 operating system, as many industry pundits believed.

The brand has confirmed that the device will run on OxygenOS 12.1 based on Android 12 OS. The handset is believed to be powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, which is quite capable to run the Android 12 OS. Additionally, it will come with 5G network support.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will sport a large 6.59-inch display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. It is advertised to be an energy-efficient display despite the high refresh rate. It may come with an option to lower the refresh rate to 60Hz or 90Hz to save the battery. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite may turn out to be the first OnePlus handset in India with an IPS LCD, to keep the costs low.    

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will adorn a Blue Tide paint job, which is inspired by the ocean sunset. The top portion surrounding its camera island comes with a textured finish, whereas the rest of the back panel seems to come with a matte finish. The entire smartphone will be made out of polycarbonate. The triple rear cameras are expected to come with a 64MP primary sensor, accompanied by 2MP depth and macro sensors. It is expected to come equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. 

Going by the images, the handset might lack the iconic alert slider and the fingerprint sensor will be embedded in the side-mounted power button. The Nord CE 2 Lite will be a mile muncher with a 5,000mAh battery under its hood. It will come with a 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support for a quick refill. 

OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: Price (Expected), Availability

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will be launched on April 28, 2022, in India. Expect the base variant with 6GB RAM+ 128GB storage to start under ₹20,000. Also, it may come in a black colour option apart from the Blue Tide variant.
