OnePlus recently ditched its plans to form a unified operating system by merging OxygenOS and ColorOS at the MWC event. The company decided to continue with its own feature-rich OxygenOS and announced the next big update to its software—OxygenOS 13. In a recent development to the same, OnePlus has conducted an Open Ears Forum (OEF) to provide a preview of the upcoming version of the software to some community members.

OxygenOS 13 Preview Details
OnePlus has provided a sneak peek of the upcoming OxygenOS 13 in a recently held Open Ears Forum (OEF). According to meet-up details posted by the company, the new OS version is under development. The company provided a preview of the new OxygenOS 13 followed by a discussion on how the OxygenOS 12 could not meet their own expectations.

Further, the company introduced some features of the upcoming OS version to the 16 participants of the OEF. However, it did not reveal any of those considering an NDA (non-disclosure agreement).
Nonetheless, based on the feedback collected during the event, OnePlus listed the following actions for OxygenOS 13, hinting at some improvements it might bring:
- Improve UI personalization and consistency
- Improve system consistency and optimize some functions path
- Add more features in AOD (like Music Player)
- Optimize Zen Mode to provide users with a more immersive and efficient experience
- Maintain positive communication with you guys (like optimizing CBT projects, more OEF, and so on)

When facing strong competitors in the global market, combining the strengths of both is the only way to truly leverage the strengths of the OPPO & OnePlus and provide better products to our customers. Lastly, the brand said that it will consider the well-constructed ideas and suggestions of the OEF attendees to come up with a better version of OxygenOS 13.
