After multiple leaks, the OPPO A97 5G has finally launched in China. When it comes to its specifications, this new A-series smartphone from OPPO, as the name suggests, offers 5G support. It features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s octa-core processor which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The other key features offered by the A97 5G include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery. OPPO A97 5G Pricing, Availability

The OPPO A97 5G is priced at CNY 2,099 (₹24,850) in China. The device comes in a sole 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. The handset will be available for pre-order in China starting from today and will go on sale from July 15, 2022 The smartphone comes in black and blue colour options. As of now, it’s not known yet if the device will debut in the global market.

The OPPO A97 5G sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display that has Full HD+ resolution. The display panel has a dewdrop-shaped notch and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device runs Android 12 out of the box with OPPO’s ColorOS 12 UI on top. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Dimensity 810 processor. The smartphone comes with 12GB of RAM and packs 256GB of internal storage.

The handset also features dual stereo speakers which have support for Dirac. In terms of imaging, the A97 5G boasts of a dual-camera setup. The camera module includes a 48MP main camera and a 2MP sensor. On the front side, the device flaunts a 8MP camera for video calls and selfies.

As for connectivity, the smartphone has features such as dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.1, 4G VoLTE, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. For security, the handset sports a side-facing fingerprint scanner and also has AI face unlock. The whole package draws power from a 5,000mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. The device is 7.99mm thick and weighs around 190 grams.
