Oppo has finally revealed the launch dates of its much-awaited flagship Find X5 series. Multiple leaks and rumours have confirmed the existence of the Oppo Find X5 and the Oppo Find X5 Pro smartphones. There could be a cheaper standard variant accompanying the two smartphones on February 24, 2022. It will be a global launch event and will be digitally streamed via OPPO’s official channel on 24 February 2022 at 11:00 GMT (4:30 PM IST).
Oppo Find X5 Pro: Features, Specifications (Rumoured)
The mainstay of the Oppo Find X5 Pro is the inclusion of Hasselblad optics. Oppo has struck a three-year partnership with Hasselblad to “develop advanced imaging solutions” for its flagship phones. The handset will feature a large 6.7-inch curved LTPO AMOLED with Quad HD+ resolution and a 20.1:9 aspect ratio. Being an LTPO display, it will come with variable screen refresh rates. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus. The X5 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that is built on a 4-nanometer process. It is expected to be equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Talking about the cameras, the Find X5 Pro is rumoured to get a primary 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and OIS. The secondary Sony IMX766 sensor will handle wide-angle photography. The telephoto shooter will be a Samsung 13MP S5K3M5 sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. There’s a 32MP Sony IMX709 shooter housed in a left-aligned hole-punch cutout at the front. The image processing will be handled by Oppo’s proprietary MariSilicon X 6nm NPU.

Other notable features include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, IP68 rating, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, among many others. The handset will get a massive 5000mAh battery coupled with 80-watt wired, wireless, and reverse charging.

The Oppo Find X5 will sport a smaller 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate. It will get Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The handset will be powered by Qualcomm’s 2021 chipset, the Snapdragon 888 Plus built on the 5nm process. It will be equipped with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
In the photography department, it gets a 50MP camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). The ancillary cameras include a 50MP ultra-wide and a 13MP telephoto snapper by Samsung. The cameras are tuned by Hasselblad and the image processing is handled by MariSilicon X NPU. There’s a 32MP Sony IMX 615 sensor at the front for selfie aficionados.
Other noteworthy features include 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, NFC, and GPS, among others. The Oppo Find X5 is powered by a 4800mAh battery and comes with 80-watt wired, wireless, and reverse charging features.
