Alongside the Oppo Find X5 and Oppo Find X5 Pro, Oppo has also announced its first-ever Android tablet—the Oppo Pad. The Oppo Pad tablet comes with a large 11-inch display similar to iPad Pro models and relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip and an 8,360mAh battery. Oppo has also launched the Oppo Pencil which is priced at RMB 499 (approx ₹5,955). The company is also selling a Smart magnetic keyboard for the Oppo Pad which costs RMB 399 (approx ₹4,770). The Oppo Pad and compatible accessories are available for purchase starting March 3 in China. However, Oppo is yet to announce the global availability of these devices.
Oppo Pad Specifications and Features
The Oppo Pad features an 11-inch IPS LCD display with WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) pixel resolution, 275ppi pixel density, 120Hz refresh rate, and 480nits peak brightness. Oppo has also acquired TUV Rheinland low blue light certification for the tablet.
Under the hood, the Oppo Pad sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor that is built on a 7nm fabrication process. The system on chip brings with it an Adreno 650 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB UFS3.1 storage. The device boots ColorOS 12 for tablet, based on Android 11.
The Oppo Pad offers a 13MP rear shooter with an F2.2 aperture and an LED flash. For video calls and selfies, it relies on an 8MP front shooter with an F2.0 aperture. It comes equipped with a 8,360mAh battery unit and 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support. It has a Type-C charging port and a Quad speaker setup with Dolby Atmos Audio. However, it lacks the 3.5mm audio jack.
The Oppo Pad comes in three colour options—Black, Purple, and a Silver James Jean limited edition. The black and silver variant of the device measure 252.2 × 163.8 x 6.99mm and weigh 507grams. Whereas, the purple colour variant weighs 510grams and measures 252.2 × 163.8 x 7.05mm. In terms of connectivity, it offers (2.4GHz + 5GHz) Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5.1.
Oppo Pencil Features
The Oppo Pencil attaches to the Oppo Pad magnetically and is also the world’s first commercial USI stylus. It supports 4096-level pressure sensitivity and relies on magnetic wireless charging. It can last for up to 11 hours on a full charger. With just one minute of charging, it can last for up to 20minutes.
