It is confirmed that Samsung is ready with all guns blazing for its next flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, according to a report. The tablet will succeed the Galaxy Tab S7+, which was an excellent device launched by Samsung in 2020. The latest iPad Pro 2021 models are already out there in the market and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will try to provide a better value for money to the buyers.
Even Android fans would agree that Apple makes the best tablet devices. The performance offered by its Bionic processors and a polished software experience is quite unmatched when compared to the offerings by other companies. For years, Samsung has fought relentlessly with Apple in the tablet market, but failed to end its domination. Having said that, it is undoubtedly the only Android tablet manufacturer to provide solid offerings to compete with the Cupertino-based tech giant. Samsung will once again look to challenge the Apple iPads in 2022 with its lineup of Samsung Tab S8 devices.
Samsung Tab S8 Ultra Features, Specifications
The Samsung Tab S8 Ultra will come with a massive 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The screen is bigger than the iPad Pro 2021 12.9-inch variant. It measures 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm. So that makes the Samsung Tab S8 Ultra slimmer than the iPad Pro 12.9-inch variant, which comes with 6.4mm thickness. The display has 6.3mm bezels all around but gets an iPhone/ MacBook Pro-inspired notch. It’s a bummer that after mocking Apple for the notches, the South Korean giant has opted to include it with its latest tablet. The notch may not look that intrusive on that humongous display but is sure to annoy a lot of people.
The Samsung Tab S8 Ultra could be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and most powerful mobile processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Some leaked benchmarks suggest that it scores over a million on Antutu, one of the first Android chipsets to achieve the feat. The tablet might come in 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB RAM variants. Driving the huge display and a powerful processor will be a massive 11,200mAh battery under its hood coupled with 45-watt fast charging.
The tablet will come with S-Pen stylus support, but will probably be a magnetic type that attaches to the rear of the tablet, just like its previous iterations. The tablet is said to be equipped with a 13MP primary sensor and a 6MP ultra-wide shooter, which should have been a 13MP, given that it will be an expensive device. The notch at the front houses the dual 12MP snappers for selfies and video calling.
According to the report, Samsung’s DeX will function in portrait display orientation. It will enable you to hold or position the tablet accordingly. Lastly, Google Health will make a debut on the tablet and will come with a three-column layout.
Samsung Tab S8 Ultra Price, Availability
The Samsung Tab S8 Ultra along with the vanilla Tab S8 and Tab S8 Plus are expected to make an appearance in CES (Consumer Electronics Show), which will be held from 5th January 2022 in Sin City. Expect it to be priced at around ₹80,000 when it goes on sale in India.
