OPPO has launched Reno 8 series, consisting of the OPPO Reno 8 and the OPPO Reno 8 Pro, in India today. The smartphones were introduced in China back in May 2022. Both smartphones under the OPPO Reno 8 series feature MediaTek Dimensity processors, a 4,500mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and Android 12-based Color 12.1 OS, among other features.

OPPO Reno 8, OPPO Reno 8 Pro Pricing, Availability

The vanilla OPPO Reno 8 pricing starts at ₹29,999 in India. The smartphone comes in Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black colour options. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro price starts at ₹45,999 and the smartphone is available in Glazed Green and Glazed Black colour options. The OPPO Reno 8 will go on sale via OPPO’s official website, starting from July 25. The OPPO Reno 8 Pro will be available for purchase starting from July 19 in India.

The OPPO Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch FHD AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixel resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, 800 nits of peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Powering the smartphone is a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. In terms of software, the OPPO Reno 8 boots Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box.

For photography, the smartphone offers a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone relies on a 32MP front-facing camera. The OPPO Reno 8 is backed by a 4,500mAh battery unit with support for 80W SUPERVOOC charging. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, a USB Type-C port, NFC, and USB On-The-Go.

Starting with the display, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro flaunts a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 1,080×2,400 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1,300 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device comes powered by an octa-core Dimensity 8100-Max processor, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. In terms of software, the OPPO Reno 8 Pro runs on Android 12-based ColorOS 12.1 out of the box.

In terms of imaging, the new OPPO smartphone features a triple rear camera setup, which consists of a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The device has a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calling. Similar to the OPPO Reno 8, the Pro variant of the device is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support. Connectivity features on the OPPO Reno 8 Pro include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB OTG, and a USB Type-C port.
