POCO has launched its first high-end gaming smartphone in India: POCO F3 GT. It undercuts the recently-launched OnePlus Nord 2 by ₹1,000 and offers a bigger battery as well as some gaming-focused features such as dedicated shoulder buttons. The POCO F3 GT has a 6.67-inch AMOLED display and it is powered by the brand-new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC (System on Chip). The smartphone packs up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB internal storage, a 64MP triple-camera setup, a 16MP front-facing camera, and a 5,065mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. The device runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out of the box.

The variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹28,999. The top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage is priced at ₹30,999 in India. The POCO F3 GT will be available for pre-order from Flipkart starting July 24, 2021, and will go on sale from July 26, 2021. The POCO F3 GT comes in two colours: Gunmetal Silver and Predator Black.
The POCO F3 GT will be available for ₹25,999 for the first week of its sale i.e till August 2, 2021. The smartphone phone will be available for ₹26,499 for the second week of the sale i.e till August 9, 2021. After the first and second week of the POCO F3 GT sale, the phone will be available for ₹26,999, which is its original price.
POCO F3 GT Specifications, Features
The POCO F3 GT sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that has Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels). The display panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is a gaming smartphone after all, which means that it comes with special features to enhance the gaming experience. It has two shoulder buttons that work on the magnetic levitation principle, and they allow you to play games using four fingers.
The imaging department of the F3 GT is handled by a triple rear-facing camera setup that consists of a 64MP primary main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The device sports a 16MP front-facing camera. It can record 4K 30fps videos using the rear-facing 64MP camera.
Under the hood, the POCO F3 GT is powered by an octa-core Dimensity 1200 processor that’s made using the advanced 6nm fabrication technology from TSMC (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company). The chipset has four ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores, the ARM G77 MC9 GPU, and an integrated 5G modem. The smartphone comes with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. As for the software, the smartphone runs Android 11 out of the box with MIUI 12.5 skin on top of it.
The phone has an eight-layer graphite panel with super-large vapour chambers for effective cooling. The device features a new aerospace-grade heat dissipation material with a built-in white graphene layer that dissipates the heat and offers good insulation.
Connectivity features present on the handset include GPS, NavIC, a dual-SIM card slot with 4G and 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 ax), Bluetooth 5.1, an infrared port, NFC, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. The handset packs a 5,065mAh battery that supports up to 67W fast charging. Other features the handset offer include Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Dimensions-wise the F3 GT measures 161.9 x 76.93 x 8.3mm and weighs 205g.
