POCO has finally unveiled its gaming-focused POCO F4 GT smartphone for global markets at a launch event. The F4 GT is the first smartphone under the POCO F4 series and it also happens to be the first gaming-focused device from the brand to make it to global markets. To those unaware, the last generation gaming-centric device, the POCO F3 GT, was limited to certain regions only.
The POCO F4 GT is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and up to 12GB of RAM. Similar to its predecessor, the handset offers dedicated gaming triggers. To the uninitiated, the POCO F4 GT is nothing but a rebranded Redmi K50 Gaming which was launched a couple of months ago in China. The POCO F4 GT comes in two configurations—8GB + 128GB and 12GB + 256GB. The pricing is as follows.

The handset will be available for purchase from April 28 via the POCO Official Store, Amazon, AliExpress, Shopee, Lazada, and more. The early bird pricing will be applicable till May 7.

It has an LTPO 2.0 display panel that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. It comes with HDR10+ certifications and is also protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Under the hood, the latest F-series handset sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that is fabbed using Samsung’s 4nm process. The SoC brings with it an integrated X65 5G modem, an Adreno 730 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The handset comes with LiquidCool Technology 3.0 that offers dual vapour chambers along with a 6904mm² super-large graphene layer.
The POCO F4 GT comes equipped with a triple-rear camera setup and a lightning LED flash. The primary shooter on the handset include a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor with 1/1.73-inch sensor size, an F1.9 aperture, and PDAF. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 120° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. The handset also offers a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, it relies on a 20MP Sony IMX596 sensor.
The latest F-series device is backed by a 4,700mAh battery unit and 120W HyperCharge fast charging support. It includes a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and symmetrical quad speakers with Dolby Atmos. POCO is bundling an L-shape Type-C cable, a 120W fast charger, and a Type-C to 3.5mm audio adapter in the box.
Additionally, the POCO F4 GT has bagged Hi-Res audio and Hi-Res wireless audio certifications. The handset boots MIUI 13 for POCO which is based on Android 12. The handset features dedicated gaming triggers, including a total of eight pop-up magnets for improved button stability compared to its predecessor. This time around, the brand is using elastic silicone material.
The latest F-series comes in three colour options—Knight Silver, Stealth Black, and Cyber Yellow. It weighs 210grams and measures 162.5 × 76.7 × 8.5mm. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM, 5G, (2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz) WiFi 6E 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Dual-band (L1+L5) GPS, Glonass, Galileo, and Beidou.
