POCO India appears to be gearing up to launch a new smartphone under its mid-range M-series. The brand took to its social media channels to share the first teaser for the upcoming smartphone launch. The teaser shared by the company shows the text “G99” and also reveals a leather pattern. Based on this, it appears that the upcoming POCO M-series smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and will come with a leather-textured back panel.
Recently a report revealed that POCO will launch the POCO M5 4G smartphone in the Indian market in early September. The POCO M5 4G will be the first handset under the M5 lineup from the company. The report also revealed that the upcoming POCO M5 4G will be powered by a MediaTek Helio HG99 processor and at least 6GB of RAM. Let us take a closer look at the POCO M5 4G leaked specifications.

There are speculations that the display panel will refresh at 90Hz per second. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery unit. Although the exact charging capabilities of the POCO M5 4G were not revealed, the leaked specifications suggest that it will support at least 33W fast charging. The smartphone will reportedly feature a chic-leather design, as seen by POCO’s latest teaser.
The POCO M5 4G is said to offer a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is tipped to boot Android 12 out of the box and we can expect the MIUI for POCO skin on top.
