POCO launched the POCO M4 Pro 5G smartphone in India earlier this year. The device, when launched, ran Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 software version out of the box. Now, in a recent development, the brand has started pushing the Android 12 update for POCO M4 Pro 5G users. Do note that the update is only available for the POCO M4 Pro 5G in the global markets. The POCO M4 Pro 5G Android 12 update brings in the latest June 2022 Android security patch. Additionally, the new software update also improves system security and has brings accessibility support for Phone, Clock, and Weather. The Android 12-based update for the POCO M4 Pro 5G arrives with the firmware version MIUI 13.0.2.0 SGBMIXM. As mentioned above, the update is rolling out in the global markets. POCO M4 Pro 5G Specifications, Features
The POCO M4 Pro 5G sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution. The device has a 20:9 aspect ratio panel that supports 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and DCI-P3 wide color gamut. Powering the POCO M4 Pro 5G is an octa-core Dimensity 810 processor. The smartphone packs up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
It features a dual camera setup at the rear which includes a 50MP main sensor with an F1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultrawide camera. The front of the device consists of a 16MP camera which is accommodated inside the punch-hole cutout. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery which supports up to 33W fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port.
