POCO launched its first 5G smartphone, the POCO M3 Pro, in May 2021. The POCO M3 Pro was nothing but a rebranded Redmi Note 10 5G (Chinese variant). Now, the Xiaomi spun-off brand is gearing up to launch its next mid-range handset, the POCO M4 Pro, in the global markets. As per the official announcement, the upcoming M-series handset from POCO will make its debut on November 9, 2021. POCO took it to social media channels to make the announcement.

The upcoming handset was already spotted in Geekbench’s database earlier this week, revealing the presence of MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and 8GB of RAM. Based on this, the POCO M4 Pro seems to be a white-labelled Redmi Note 11 which launched earlier this week in China.

    POCO M4 Pro Specifications, Features

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 packs a 6.6-inch LCD display with an Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and a 90Hz refresh rate. This means that the display on the POCO M4 Pro may not see an upgrade over its predecessor’s display. To recall, the POCO M3 Pro features a 6.5-inch LCD panel with an Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz Adaptive Sync display.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 11 sports an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor that is fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm process. The Dimensity 810 comes with an integrated Mali G57 GPU that handles graphics processing. Xiaomi is offering the Redmi Note 11 with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. Similar to all other Xiaomi phones, the handset boots company’s proprietary MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11.

Talking about the cameras, the Redmi Note 11 is equipped with a dual-rear camera setup with an LED flash. Yes, you read it right, a dual-camera setup. The primary shooter on the handset is a 50MP sensor that gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. For the selfies, the smartphone has a 16MP shooter on the front.

The Redmi Note 11 gets a 5,000mAh battery unit with 33W fast-charging support. This means that 33W fast-charging might make a comeback on POCO M-series smartphones. To those who are unaware, POCO M3 Pro supports 18W fast charging compared to 33W fast charging on its predecessor, the POCO M2 Pro. The Redmi Note 11 features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, stereo speakers, IR blaster, and a Type-C charging port.
