One of the best email apps commanding a loyal user base has finally launched a Windows app for PC users. Spark, which debuted on Android in 201, has released a slew of updates that includes a new look, more tools and an app for the Microsoft Store.
Spark’s developers said the app has a new philosophy that pivots from being intuitive to intentional in order to help users prioritise better and stay focused. The new Spark app will stress on prioritising quality of work, focus on saving mental energy, minimise engagement, and more.
Spark App Comes To Windows 11
The new Spark app comes with new features like a smart inbox that prioritises unread emails from individuals over newsletters and notifications. Emails can also be grouped by senders, making them look like a conversation thread instead of individual mails. These can be read on priority or muted.
The app is also intelligent enough to convert emails into tasks, allowing users to check off messages or set them aside for later. Users can also highlight recipients for priority email where their unread responses are constantly listed at the top of the inbox. The same priority emails can also show up on desktop notifications.
Additionally, there are shortcuts that give access to messages straight on the homescreen. More importantly, Spark is also setting up its own cloud infrastructure to allow users to share attachments larger than 25MB, which would appear as a hyperlink, much like the Google Drive uploads on Gmail.
The app, first available for Mac users, now has more than 1.4 billion users across all platforms including iOS, Web, Android, Windows and Huawei’s App Gallery. That said, the Spark app is not free to use. Most of the new features including Priority Email, Mute Threads, Large Attachments, Home Screen for Desktop and the likes are offered under Spark Premium, which is priced at $8 per month or $60 annually. Existing Spark users get a 30% discount when opting for an annual subscription.
