Razer refreshed all three Blade series laptops at CES 2022 to introduce newer versions of the Razer Blade 14, Razer Blade 15, and the Razer Blade 17. The new laptops come with Intel’s new 12th Gen processors and AMD’s Ryzen 6000 series CPUs. Additionally, the company has started offering DDR5 memory as a standard offering across its Blade lineup.
Let us take a look at the price, specifications, and features of the new Razer Blade 14, Razer 15, and Razer 17 laptops.
Razer Blade 14 (2021)
Starting with the new Razer Blade 14, it comes powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU. Furthermore, it has GPU options ranging from Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Plus, users have the option to manually toggle the integrated graphics by using a MUX switch.
Moving on to the display, the Razer Blade 14 features various screen options: the RTX 3060 variant has a 14-inch Full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, while the other two variants come with a 165Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution.
In terms of storage, the Razer Blade 14 has a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD storage, with scope for up to 2TB expansion. Connectivity features of the Razer Blade 14 include USB 3.2 Gen-2 Type-A ports, two USB 3.2 Gen-2 Type-C (with Power Delivery), Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone+microphone combo jack. Moving on to the battery life, the Ryzen Blade 14 has a 61.6WHr battery with a 230W power adapter.
As far as pricing goes, the Razer Blade 14 will start at $1,999 for the RTX 3060 variant, $2,599 for the RTX 3070 Ti variant, and $3,499 for the RTX 3080 Ti variant. The laptop will be available for pre-order via the company’s official website, Razer offline stores, and select retailers on February 10, 2022.
Razer Blade 15 (2021)
Coming to the Razer Blade 15, the upgraded laptop comes with Intel’s 12th Gen CPU (Core i7-12800H) in all variants except for the top-of-the-line variant that has the Intel Core i9-12900HK processor. GPU options include the RTX 3060, RTX 3070 Ti, and RTX 3080 Ti.
In terms of display, the Razer Blade 15 features three different 15-inch panels: a 360Hz Full HD panel, one a G-Sync enabled 240Hz QHD panel, and a 4K panel with a 144Hz refresh rate.
In terms of storage, the Razer Blade 15 features 16GB/32GB DDR5 dual-channel 4800MHz RAM, which can be upgraded to up to 64GB. Internal storage is 1TB but can be upgraded to up to 2TB. Plus, there’s an open M.2 slot that can accommodate an additional SSD (up to 2TB).
Connectivity options include three USB 3.2 Gen-2 Type-A ports, one Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and a headphone+microphone combo jack. Lastly, the Razer Blade 15 comes with an 80WHr battery with a 230W power adapter.
Pricing of the Razer Blade 15 starts at $2,400 for the RTX 3060 model and goes all the way up to $3,999 for the 3080 Ti model. Pre-orders for the laptop will begin in the US on January 25, 2022.
Razer Blade 17 (2021)
Coming to the beefiest model of the lot, the Razer Blade 17 has an Intel Core i9-12900HK CPU for the top variant and an Intel i7-12800H for the remaining variants. The laptop has four screen options to choose from: a 17.3-inch 360Hz Full HD screen, a 165Hz QHD screen, a 240Hz QHD screen, and a 144Hz 4K screen.
It has 16GB or 32GB of dual-channel DDR5-4800MHz RAM, which is upgradable to 64GB. Storage space starts at 1TB via a PCIe Gen-4 NVMe SSD, which can be upgraded up to 4TB.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, three USB 3.2 Gen-2 Type-A ports, two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a gigabit ethernet port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and a headphone+microphone combo jack. Coming to the battery, the Razer Blade 17 has an 82WHr battery with a 280W power adapter.
The Razer Blade 17 (2021) pricing starts at $2,699 for the base variant and goes all the way up to $4,299 for the top-end variant. Pre-orders for the laptop will start on January 25, 2022.
