With the Realme UI 3.0 early access program, a few users will get to try the Android 12 software version on their Realme 9i and Realme 8i smartphones. The Chinese smartphone maker took to its community forum to announce the Realme UI 3.0 early access program for these two phones.
Here’s how users can enroll for the Realme UI 3.0 early access program:
Realme UI 3.0 Early Access Program Now Available For Realme 9i, Realme 8i
If you are using a Realme 9i smartphone and want to enroll for the Realme UI 3.0 early access program, your device should have the required UI version as RMX3491_11.A.13 / RMX3491_11.A.14. You will have to head over to Settings > Software Update and tap on the settings icon in the top right corner. Then, you will have to tap on Trial Version > Apply Now and submit your details.
You will have to follow a similar process to enroll for the Realme UI 3.0 early access on the Realme 8i. However, you will have to make sure that your smartphone is running the RMX3151_11.A.41 firmware version.
Before starting the enrollment process, you will have to make sure that your smartphone has a battery level of at least 60 percent. Additionally, you will need to have at least 10GB of free storage on the Realme 9i, while Realme 8i users will need 5GB of free space. The Realme 9i Early Access is open to 1000 users only. If your application is accepted, you will receive the Android 12 update on your smartphone. Realme has opened the early access program for these two devices on May 27. The company notes that applications for the same will be accepted in batches.
As usual, Realme recommends users to take a backup of their personal data before proceeding with the program. Also, as it is an early access program, there might be bugs and some apps might not work properly. The company advises against installing the Early Access software on your primary phone.
