Realme, back in January, launched the first handset under the Realme 9 series—the Realme 9i. The brand has now added two more smartphones to the Realme 9 lineup—the Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 Pro+ handsets in India. The Realme 9 Pro series handsets come with an all-new Light Shift design that allows it to change colour under the direct sunlight. Let us take a closer look at Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ price in India, specifications, and features.

The Realme 9 Pro will be available for purchase from February 23 exclusively via Flipkart, whereas the Realme 9 Pro+ will be up for grabs from February 21 in the country.

It has a 90Hz refresh rate display that supports a 360Hz touch sampling rate and a 1,00,000: 1 contrast ratio. On the top left corner, the display features a punch-hole-notch that houses the front selfie shooter. The display features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Powering the 9 Pro+ is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor coupled with a Mali G68 GPU. The Dimensity 920 is built on a 6nm fabrication process and brings with it 2 × Cortex A-78 cores, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The handset also features a vapor chamber cooling system to keep the temperature in control. It also offers up to 5GB of virtual RAM.
In terms of optics, the Realme 9 Pro+ offers a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary sensor on the handset is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with a 1/1.56 sensor size, 84.4° field of view, an F1.8 aperture, OIS and EIS support. Accompanying it is an 8MP Sony IMX355 with 119.7° field of view, and an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, the handset offers a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with a 78° field of view and an F2.4 aperture.
The smartphone offers various photography modes including Night Mode, Portrait Mode, HDR, Starry Mode, Tilt-Shift, Street Mode, Long Exposure, Panoramic view, Expert, Chroma Boost, AI Beauty, and AI Scene Recognition. The handset is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps, 1080p videos at 60fps, as well as 720p slow-motion videos at 960fps. The selfie camera also supports Portrait Mode, HDR, Night Mode, Street Mode, Panoramic View, Bokeh Effect Control, and more.
The 9 Pro+ is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery unit and supports 60W SuperDart fast charging. Additionally, it also supports 30W Dart and 18W USB Power Delivery protocols. It has a Type-C charging port, an in-display fingerprint scanner, an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.

The Realme 9 Pro offers a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ (1,080 × 2,400 pixel) resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display features a punch-hole notch which also helps it achieve about 91% screen-to-body ratio.
Under the hood, the 9 Pro sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor paired with Adreno 619 GPU. The system on chip is built on a 6nm fabrication process and brings with it an X51 5G modem, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The handset also offers a liquid cooling system and up to 5GB Virtual RAM.
Similar to its elder sibling, the Realme 9 Pro also features a triple-rear camera setup. The primary sensor on the device is a 64MP shooter with a 79° field of view, an F1.79 aperture, and a 25.18mm focal length. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro lens with an F2.4 aperture on the device. For selfies, the handset relies on a 16MP sensor with a 79.3° field of view and F2.0 aperture.
The 9 Pro is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 33W Dart charging. It has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a (hybrid) micro-SD card slot, a mono speaker, and a 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-Res audio.
In terms of connectivity, the Realme 9 Pro offers Dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, (2.4GHz + 5GHz) Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS. The handset measures 160.2 × 73.3 × 7.99mm, weigh 182grams, and will retail in three colour options—Midnight Black, Aurora Green, and Sunrise Blue. The Realme 9 Pro boots Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0, and the company is also promising two major Android system upgrades.
