Realme 9 Pro+ Goes On Sale In India Today For First Time: Price, Specs, Review

Realme introduced its mid-range and upper mid-range devices, the Realme 9 Pro+ and Realme 9 Pro in the Indian market last week. The top dog Realme 9 Pro+ has gone on sale from today, as promised by the brand. The handset is adorned by a unique light shift design and comes with a 50MP camera with OIS, MediaTek processor, a heart rate sensor embedded fingerprint sensor, and many more features. 

Realme 9 Pro+ Price, Availability

The Realme 9 Pro+ went on sale today at 12 p.m. in the Indian market. It will be available for purchase via Realme’s website and Flipkart. The handset is priced at ₹24,999, (6+128GB),  ₹26,999 (8+128GB), and ₹28,999 (8+256GB). You can avail a flat ₹2,000 instant discount on HDFC credit/debit cards and EMI on Flipkart and Realme’s official website. The smartphone comes in Midnight Black, Aurora Green, and Sunrise Blue colourways. 

Realme 9 Pro+ Features, Specifications

The Realme 9 Pro+ sports a 6.4-inch Full HD+  AMOLED display with 409ppi pixel density and 20:9 aspect ratio. It comes with a 90Hz screen refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and a 600nits brightness. The display is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5. 

The Realme 9 Pro+ is powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor built on the 6nm fabrication process. Realme says it has equipped the handset with a vapour chamber cooling system to keep the temperature in control during heavy tasks such as gaming. It is equipped with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB storage. The RAM expansion feature can add up to 5GB of virtual RAM.

In the camera department, the Realme 9 Pro+ gets a triple-rear camera setup. The primary 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor comes with an F1.8 aperture coupled with OIS and EIS support. The ancillary cameras include an 8MP Sony IMX355 with an f/2.2 aperture and a useless 2MP macro sensor. For selfie aficionados, there’s a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor with an f/2.4 aperture housed in the punch-hole cutout on the display. 

Since this is a camera-centric smartphone, it comes bundled with a slew of photography modes such as Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Expert, HDR, Tilt-Shift, Starry Mode, Street Mode, Long Exposure, Panoramic view, Chroma Boost, and AI Scene Recognition. You can record 4K videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 60fps. It can also record 720p slow-motion videos at 960fps. 

Some other notable features of the handset include USB-C, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a dual speaker setup, among many others. The Realme 9 Pro+ is powered by a 4,500mAh battery under its hood and supports 60W SuperDart fast charging, which promises to charge the device up to 50 percent in just 15 minutes. The smartphone runs on Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box.
