Realme has launched yet another Narzo 50 mid-range smartphone, thus expanding the Narzo 50 series in India. Narzo handsets are usually watered down variants, which are targeted towards value-conscious buyers. But, make no mistake as the Narzo 50 still gets a large display, high screen refresh rate, decent fast charging tech, triple rear cameras, and a massive battery, to lure customers.

It is built out of polycarbonate and carries a kevlar finish at the rear. The overall design is identical to the Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro with the camera bump featuring the triple rear cameras and an LED flash.
The handset sports a 6.6-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. It gets six levels of variable refresh rates— 30Hz, 48Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 90Hz, and120Hz to improve battery life.
The Narzo 50 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset built on the 12nm fabrication process. It is a decent performer and has been a favourite of smartphone makers in this price category. But, if you are looking for a 5G ready chipset, then this smartphone isn’t for you. The device is equipped with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.1 of internal storage. It also comes with DRE (Dynamic Ram Expansion) which allows you to expand the RAM to a total of 11GB.
The Realme Narzo 50 comes with a triple camera setup at the rear. The primary 50MP primary sensor comes with an f/1.8 aperture and two useless 2MP Macro and Depth shooters. Selfie duties will be handled by the 16MP shooter housed in the hole-punch cutout.
The Realme Narzo 50 comes with a 5,000mAh battery under its hood coupled with a 33-watt Dart fast charging tech. It is claimed to achieve 0-100% battery in less than one hour of charging. The fingerprint sensor is embedded in the side-mounted power button. The Narzo 50 gets a 3.5mm audio jack, which most flagships miss out on, and also comes with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The handset runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 out of the box, which is a bummer since Realme UI 3.0 is already available.
Realme Narzo 50 Price, Availability
The Realme Narzo 50 comes at an introductory price of ₹12,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage comes with a price tag of ₹15,499.
