Realme is now focussing on the tablet market more than ever. It entered the market with its Realme Pad and then added the Realme Pad Mini later. The company was rumoured to be working on a flagship tablet that will sit above the Realme Pad in its portfolio. The brand has now confirmed that its Realme Pad X 5G, dubbed the “King of tablets”, will be launched on May 26, 2022 in China. Let’s have a look at what can be expected from Realme’s new tablet.
Realme Pad 5G: Specifications (Rumoured)
Realme has shared the images of its Realme Pad X 5G in all three colours, leaving nothing to the imagination. It seems to have a polycarbonate frame and a chessboard design at the rear. It gets a single camera with AI branding at the rear. The device is very slim with a thickness of just 7.1mm.
The Realme Pad 5G, being a flagship-level tablet, will sport a large LCD with 2.5K+ display resolution and a screen size of 10 inches or larger. It will come with a 120Hz screen refresh rate for smoother scrolling.

The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870 chipset, which is built on the 7nm fabrication process and strikes a great balance between performance and energy efficiency. It provides a better sustained performance than even the Snapdragon 888 processor. It is expected to come equipped with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
The Realme Pad 5G is said to be powered by an 8,360mAh battery pack under its hood. As it is a Realme device, expect it to come with 33W or 50W fast charging, if not 150W. The tablet will run on Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box.
Realme says it will be the cheapest tablet with a Snapdragon 870. So, expect it to be priced between ₹23,000 to ₹30,000 and will go against the recently launched Xiaomi Pad 5 in the category. It will come in Fluorescent Green Chessboard, Sea Salt Blue, and Star Gray colour options. Expect it to launch in India in June, 2022.
