Realme’s Lifestyle Brand DIZO Launches a Bunch of Earbuds and Grooming Devices

Realme’s competition with Xiaomi is not limited to just smartphones, laptops, TVs, and smart home products. The rivalry extends to lifestyle products, too. In a bid to challenge Xiaomi’s Redmi product lineup, Realme has introduced its DIZO sub-brand that makes ultra-affordable products, including feature phones, wireless earbuds, smartwatches, beard trimmers, and even hairdryers. Today, DIZO has launched two new sets of truly wireless earbuds (DIZO GoPods & DIZO GoPods Neo), a trimmer (DIZO Beard Trimmer Plus), and a hairdryer (DIZO Hair Dryer) in India.

DIZO GoPods Features, Specs

The DIZO GoPods are true wireless earphones with a stem design. These are rated IPX5 for water resistance. You can use onboard touch controls to control music playback and manage calls. Like most earbuds, the GoPods feature wear detection to pause music when they are removed.

Each earbud weighs in at 4.1 grams and packs in a 10mm audio driver. It connects to your smartphone over Bluetooth 5.2. The earbuds feature a customised R2 chip with SBC and AAC codecs. DIZO claims that these wireless earphones support 88ms low-latency gaming mode. The GoPods feature ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) backed by a dual-mic setup on each earbud. It also comes with Transparency mode that enables users to be aware of their surroundings with a click of a button.

Each earbud offers up to four hours of playback on a single charge with ANC turned on. Combined with the battery inside the carry case, you can get up to 22.5 hours of music playback with active noise cancellation turned on.

DIZO GoPods Neo Features, Specs

The GoPods Neo has a compact bud design with a fancy gloss finish. They look a lot like Samsung’s Galaxy Buds+. The GoPods Neo are rated IPX5 for water resistance. Each earbud holds a 10mm driver tuned to deliver bass. The earbuds offer ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), a transparency mode, and a dual-mic setup for calls.

The GoPods Neo supports Bluetooth 5.2 (with SBC and AAC) as well, complete with 88mm low-latency for gaming, similar to the GoPods. It has onboard touch controls to save you from the hassle of whipping out your phone to play or pause music. The GoPods Neo earbuds are powered by a customized R2 chip. It comes with a Realme Link companion app that enables you to fine-tune settings.

These earbuds offer up to five hours of playback with ANC turned on. The carry case holds a 480mAh battery, which can extend GoPods Neo’s music playback time to 20 hours with ANC turned on.

DIZO Beard Trimmer Plus Features, Specs

The DIZO Beard Trimmer Plus has an uncanny resemblance to Xiaomi’s Mi Beard Trimmer. According to the product page, the trimmer features stainless steel blades treated to keep the heat at bay. It has an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) body rated IPX7 for water resistance. The trimmer comes with 40 length settings. The machine’s noise operation is at 68dB.

DIZO Beard Trimmer Plus holds an 800 mAh battery. The company claims that it can offer up to 120 minutes of operation. The trimmer has a USB Type-C charging port, which means you can use your mobile charger to juice up this grooming device. A modern charging port makes it better than Xiaomi’s beard trimmers.

DIZO Hair Dryer Features, Specs

Along with the trimmer, DIZO also introduced a hairdryer named Hair Dryer. It has a 1,400W motor that drives a fan at 19,000rpm. The company claims that this blower reduces the drying time by half when compared to other similarly priced hair dryers.

The DIZO Hair Dryer keeps the temperature under 55-degree Celsius to protect your scalp from heat damage. If you want to avoid hot air altogether, the dryer even comes with a cold air setting. The blower is made from engineered polycarbonate – acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (PC-ABS) known for its ability to withstand high temperatures.

Pricing and Availability

The DIZO GoPods earphones with a stem design will be available for purchase via Flipkart on September 6, 2021. It is priced at ₹3,299, however, a few customers will be able to purchase it at a discounted price of ₹2,999.

The DIZO GoPods Neo will hit stores on September 10, 2021. Priced at ₹2,499, the earbuds will be available at a special price of ₹2,299 for the first few customers.

The DIZO Beard Trimmer Plus price in India is ₹1,999. However, during the launch, it will be available for just ₹1,699. The DIZO Hair Dryer, too, is pegged at ₹1,999, but you can snag it for just ₹1,499 during the first sale. Both these devices will release on Flipkart on September 04, 2021.
