Xiaomi launched the Redmi 10 Prime handset back in September in India. The smartphone came preloaded with MIUI 12.5, based on Android 11. Now, the company has started rolling out the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update for the device. The Redmi 10 Prime MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update comes with firmware version MIUI 12.5.5.0.RKUINXM and the OTA update has a download size of about 198MBs. The MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with several under the hood changes including Atomized memory, Liquid Storage, Focused algorithms, and smart balance. The Redmi 10 Prime MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update brings with it the ability to uninstall select system apps. It comes with focused algorithms that allocate system resources dynamically and ensure a smooth experience. Xiaomi has also added a new Atomized memory feature that manages RAM usage efficiently. The display on the device also features a punch hole notch and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Powering the handset is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor that is built on a 12nm fabrication process. It comes coupled with a Mali G52 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB emmc 5.1 storage. Users also get an option to expand the storage further via a dedicated micro-SD card slot.
Moving on to the optics, the Redmi 10 Prime features a quad-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary 50MP sensor on the device is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it offers an 8MP shooter.
The Redmi 10 Prime is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging support. It includes a Type-C charging port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a stereo speaker setup, and an infrared sensor. It also comes with P2i splash-resistant coating and weighs 192grams.
