Xiaomi’s Redmi has launched a new entry-level handset—the Redmi 10A in the Indian market. To recall, the successor of the Redmi 9A was launched last month in the Chinese market.
The Redmi 10A sports a MediaTek Helio G25 processor and a 5,000mAh battery unit, similar to its predecessor. Other highlights of the latest budget Redmi smartphone include a large display, a 13MP camera, and a fingerprint scanner. The Redmi 10A comes in two configurations—3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. The base variant of the device is priced at ₹8,499, whereas the 4GB + 64GB variant of the handset costs ₹9,499. It will be available for purchase starting April 26 exclusively via amazon.in and mi.com

The Redmi 10A sports a 6.53-inch LCD display with an HD+ (1600 × 720 pixel) resolution, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 400nits peak brightness. The latest Redmi handset houses the front selfie shooter inside a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the budget device packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor and a PowerVR8320 GPU. It boots MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11.

At the front, there is a 5MP shooter for video calls and selfies. The handset is backed by a 5,000mAh battery unit and it supports 10W charging. Additionally, it features a micro-USB port for charging and data transfers. It has a fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Redmi 10A comes in three colour options—Sea Blue, Slate Grey, and Charcoal Black. It weighs 194grams and measures 164.9 × 77.7 × 9mm. In terms of connectivity, it offers dual-SIM, 4G, VoLTE, 2.4GHz WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS.
