Xiaomi has introduced its affordable Redmi 11 Prime 5G in the Indian market today. It is a mid-range smartphone and is a rebranded Redmi Note 11E 5G, which is already available in China. Some standout features of the device include dual 5G support, seven 5G bands, a large 6.58-inch LCD, 90Hz refresh rate, 50MP primary camera, and corrosion-proof ports, among other features.
Redmi 11 Prime 5G: Price, Availability
The Redmi 11 Prime 5G comes at a starting price of ₹13,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. Meanwhile, the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant comes at a price of ₹15,999. It will go on sale on September 9, 2022 via Amazon, Mi.com, and offline stores across India. The device comes in Meadow Green, Chrome Silver and Thunder Black colourways.

The Redmi 11 Prime 5G follows Xiaomi’s EVOL design language and comes with flat sides. It gets a rectangular camera island at the back, which is colour blended with the back panel. Moreover, the rear panel comes with a textured finish that improvers handgrip and reduces smudges.

The display comes with a 90Hz refresh rate with four levels, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
The Redmi 11 Prime 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is based on a 7nm fabrication process. The smartphone is equipped with up to 6GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The storage can be expanded further via a microSD card slot.
When it comes to imaging, the device gets a dual camera setup at the back comprising a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. There’s an 8MP sensor housed in the waterdrop notch at the front for handling selfies and video calling duties.
Some noteworthy features of the device include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-SIM 5G support, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, rubberised seals and corrosion proof ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port, among others. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and is bundled with a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The handset runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
