Redmi A1 Specifications, Design Leaked Ahead Of Launch

Redmi is all set to launch a new budget smartphone, dubbed the Redmi A1, on September 6, 2022 in India. While the smartphone has been spotted on multiple certification websites, the company has not yet unveiled any specifications of the device. Ahead of the launch, a new leak has popped up revealing the design details and full specifications of the upcoming Redmi smartphone. Let us take a look.

Redmi A1 Specifications, Design

According to a 91mobiles report, the Redmi A1 will feature a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 1,600x720p resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Powering the smartphone will reportedly be a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which will be paired with 2GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, which is further expandable up to 1TB. We can also expect the brand to launch a 3GB variant of the device. In terms of software, the Redmi A1 is expected to run on Android 12-based MIUI 13 out of the box.

For photography, the smartphone is said to offer a dual camera setup with an 8MP primary sensor and an auxiliary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video calling, the device might feature a 5MP front camera. The Redmi A1 is said to come with features such as portrait mode, time-lapse, short video, and more. When it comes to the battery, the smartphone is expected to be powered by a 5,000mAh unit with 10W charging support.

Coming to the design, the Redmi A1 is said to feature a sleek flat-edged design with a rounded back. Based on the latest report, the rear panel of the smartphone will house a squarish camera module and Redmi branding. The front of the device will sport a waterdrop notch screen. The volume rocker and power button will appear on the right edge. The smartphone is also reported to measure 164.9mm x 76.75mm x 9.09mm and weigh 191 grams. The Redmi A1 is confirmed to arrive in three colour variants: black, green, and blue.
