Xiaomi‘s Redmi launched the Redmi Note 10S smartphone back in May in India. The handset came preloaded with Android 11 based MIUI 12.5. Now, the company has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update for the Note 10S in India. Redmi Note 10S MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Stable update comes with firmware version 12.5.11.0.RKLINXM and the OTA update has a download size of about 433MBs. MIUI 12.5 brings with it several under the hood changes including Atomized memory, Liquid storage, and Focused Algorithms. The Atomized memory makes use of ultra-fine memory management mechanism that makes efficient usage of RAM. MIUI 12.5 also comes with focused algorithms that dynamically allocate system resources to ensure a smooth user experience.

It also has a new Liquid storage feature that keeps the system responsive and vibrant all the time. With the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version, the Redmi Note 10S will also be able to uninstall select system apps. Let’s take a look at the official changelogs below:

Xiaomi is yet to confirm the rollout officially. Also, this would be a phased rollout, so the update might take some time to appear on your unit. However, we can expect the company to roll out the update for all Redmi Note 10S users in the country in the coming weeks.

Redmi Note 10S Specifications and Features

The Note 10S flaunts a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (1,080 × 2,400 pixel) resolution and 1,100 nits brightness. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 processor and Mali G76 GPU. The device comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.

The Note 10S features a quad-rear camera setup including a high-resolution 64MP sensor. The other three sensors on the handset are 8MP ultra-wide-angle, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro sensors. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 13MP front shooter inside a punch-hole notch.

The Note 10S is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 33W fast charging support. It also offers a USB Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a stereo speaker setup. It also features IP53 water-resistant rating.
