Redmi Note 11S 5G and Note 11 Pro+ 5G Launched: Price, Specifications

A couple of months ago, Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 11 series for global markets. Now, the brand has added two more smartphones—the Redmi Note 11S 5G and the Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G to the lineup. The Note 11S 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor and a 5,000mAh battery. It offers a 50MP camera setup and a 90Hz refresh rate display.

On the other hand, the Note 11 Pro+ 5G sports a MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoC, a 4,500mAh battery, and whopping 120W HyperCharge fast charging. It also offers a 108MP camera setup and a 120Hz AMOLED display.

The Note 11S 5G flaunts a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a Full HD+ (2400 × 1080 pixel) resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display panel supports a 1500: 1 contrast ratio, DCI-P3 colour gamut, and houses the front selfie shooter inside a centered punch hole notch.

Under the hood, the Note 11S 5G sports an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, fabbed on a 6nm process. The system on chip brings with it an integrated Mali G57 GPU, up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB UFS2.2 storage. The device boots MIUI 13, based on Android 11.

The Note 11S 5G offers a triple-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The primary shooter on the device is a 50MP sensor with an F1/8 aperture. Accompanying it is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. There is also a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, it relies on a 13MP shooter.

The handset comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 33W Pro fast charging. For charging and data transfers, it makes use of a Type-C charging port. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a micro-SD card slot, a stereo speaker setup, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Note 11S retails in three colour options—Midnight Black, Star Blue, and Twilight Blue. It measures 163.56 × 75.78 × 8.75mm and weighs 195grams. In terms of connectivity, it offers Dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, Galileo, and Glonass.

The Note 11 Pro+ 5G is a rebranded Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge which was launched a couple of months ago in India. The handset offers a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200nits peak brightness. The display makes room for the front selfie shooter inside a centered punch hole notch.

Powering the device is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, that is fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm process. The system on chip brings with it Mali G68 GPU, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Note 11 Pro+ comes pre-loaded with MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11.

The Note 11 Pro+ offers a triple-rear camera setup including a 108MP primary shooter. The high-resolution sensor on the smartphone gets accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120° field of view and an F2.2 aperture. The handset also offers a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture. There is also a 16MP front shooter with an F2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls.

The Note 11 Pro+ 5G comes equipped with a 4,500mAh battery unit and supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-res audio certification. It also offers a stereo speaker setup tuned by JBL.

The Note 11 Pro+ 5G retails in three colour options—Graphite Gray, Forest Green, and Star Blue. It weighs 205grams and measures 163.65 × 76.19 × 8.34mm.
