At their annual Meta Connect conference in early October, the California-based virtual reality technology behemoth Meta will unveil its newest VR gear. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg broke the news during an unusual podcast conversation with Joe Rogan.
The name of Meta’s next VR headset was not disclosed by Zuckerberg, but speculations and rumours suggest that it could be called the Oculus Quest Pro. He said that the next virtual reality headgear would have a few significant features when it launches in October.

He gave a few instances of the capabilities of the Meta Quest Pro, including the ability to establish flexible and direct eye contact in dialogues in virtual reality and create avatar facial emotions that mimic your real-life reactions. He said that the future headgear would convert your expressions in real-time to your avatar, whether you grin, frown, pout, or use any other facial emotion.
The initial price of Quest Pro, which is expected to be at least $799, would make it the most expensive virtual reality headset in the Meta catalog. There is no other information presently available, and we will have to wait until the beginning of October for an official launch announcement from Meta.
