Samsung seems to be on a launch spree considering the number of new products the brand is introducing at the ongoing CES 2022 event. The South Korean tech giant has unveiled the 2022 MicroLED TVs, 2022 Lifestyle TVs, and new soundbars with improved quality, prior to the CES 2022. Alongside all these new products, Samsung has also unveiled the 2022 Neo QLED TV lineup. The Neo QLED TV series feature a 144Hz refresh rate display, EyeComfort mode, and 8K resolution. The QLED TV makes use of a Neo Quantum processor and offers advancements in terms of picture technology and sound quality.

The QLED TV lineup is equipped with a Neo Quantum Processor which introduces advanced contrast mapping with BLU (back-light unit). Thanks to the new processor, the TV offers an increasing brightness level from 12 to 14-bit gradation for greater control of the light source. Samsung has also doubled the brightness levels with this new QLED offering. As per the company, the 2022 QLED lineup has 16,384 steps of brightness level, which earlier used to be of 4,096 steps.
Samsung also claims that it has used Shape Adaptive Light technology in the 2022 QLED series. The Adaptive Light technology can analyze lines, shapes and surfaces to control the shape of light from the Quantum Mini LEDs, thereby enhancing the brightness and accuracy. Furthermore, the 2022 QLED TV also has a Real Depth Enhancer, cloud gaming integration, and a multi-intelligence picture quality algorithm. The Realme Depth Enhancer offers a sense of realism that can determine and process an object on the screen against its background to create a sense of depth.
The 2022 QLED TV series also has an EyeComfort mode. This mode can automatically adjust the screen’s brightness and tone based on a built-in light sensor and sunset/sunrise information. Apart from the advancement in picture quality, Samsung is also offering major upgrades to the sound features as well. The company is introducing the OTS (Object Tracking Sound) with the new 2022 QLED TV series. The OTS support directs the sound to move across the room along with the object on-screen. The all-new Samsung’s 2022 QLED TV will feature the up-firing speakers which also has Dolby Atmos support.
