Samsung launched a new variant of the Galaxy A12 in India which features a different processor compared to the original Galaxy A12 that was launched in February 2021. The original version of the phone featured the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, while the new Galaxy A12 uses Samsung’s own Exynos 850 processor. The rest of the specifications of the smartphone remain similar to the original version of the phone, which means that you still get a 6.5-inch PLS IPS LCD display, up to 6GB of RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, a 48MP quad-camera setup, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy A12 Price in India, Availability

The Samsung Galaxy A12 is priced at ₹13,999 for the variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs ₹16,499. The device comes in three colour options: Black, Blue, and White. The device is already available for purchase from Samsung India’s online store.

The newer version of the Galaxy A12 uses the Exynos 850 processor, which is slightly more powerful compared to the original version that used the MediaTek Helio P35 processor. The phone has a 6.5-inch PLS IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution (1,600 x 720 pixels). The smartphone packs 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot too. On the software front, the Galaxy A12 runs Android 11 out of the box with the company’s own One UI 3 skin.

The Galaxy A12 features a quad-camera setup that includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the handset has an 8MP selfie camera. The device features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is embedded into the power button. The Galaxy A12 features a dual-SIM card slot, dual-4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It measures 164 x 75.8 x 8.9mm and weighs 205g. For power, the device relies on a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging.
