Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy A13 5G and the Galaxy A33 5G for the Indian market. The Galaxy A13 5G and the A33 5G are tipped to launch in India by February 2022. Ahead of these devices’ India launch, the South Korean smartphone maker has now reduced the price of the Galaxy A12 in India. The company, in a recent development, has reduced the price of the Galaxy A12 by ₹1,000. The price reduction is effective for both, the Galaxy A12 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM variants in the country. As per retail sources, the Samsung Galaxy A12 4GB RAM variant now costs ₹12,999, while the 6GB RAM model with 128GB of internal storage can be purchased for ₹15,499. Before the price reduction, the A12 4GB RAM model retailed for ₹13,999, while the 6GB RAM variant was sold for ₹16,499 in India.

Speaking about the specifications, the Galaxy A12 flaunts a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display. The display panel has a standard 60Hz refresh rate and an HD+ 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The device is equipped with Samsung’s in-house octa-core Exynos 850 processor. The smartphone packs up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Users also can expand the storage beyond 128GB via a microSD card support. As for the software, the Galaxy A12 runs Android 11 out of the box with One UI skin on top.

Moving onto the optics department, the smartphone features a quad-camera setup. The camera module includes a 48MP primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP ultra-wide camera, and a pair of 2MP depth and macro camera units.
