Samsung Galaxy A13 With 6.6-inch Display And 5,000mAh Battery Announced: Specifications, Features

Alongside the mid-range Galaxy A23, Samsung also announced an entry-level A-series handset—the Samsung Galaxy A13. The device offers a 50MP camera setup and a large 5,000mAh battery unit, similar to its elder sibling. However, it comes with a different design language and a weaker processor, compared to the Galaxy A23.

The Galaxy A13 comes with a 6.6-inch TFT display panel protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 layer. It has a Full HD (1,080 × 2,408 pixel) resolution and features an Infinity-V shape notch, which makes room for an 8MP selfie shooter.

Powering the Galaxy A13 is an octa-core processor with 2.2GHz peak frequency. As always, Samsung hasn’t mentioned any details about the processor being used on the smartphone. However, based on earlier Geekbench listing, the handset might be powered by an Exynos 850 processor. It is fabbed on Samsung’s 8nm LPP process and comes coupled with a Mali G52 GPU.

The Galaxy A13 comes in three memory variants—3GB, 4GB, and 6GB. The company will provide users an option to choose between 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB onboard storage. The entry-level Galaxy handset comes preloaded with Android 12, but as usual, there is One UI 4.1 skin on top.

The Galaxy A13 is equipped with a quad-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The camera arrangement on the smartphone looks quite identical to the of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The primary camera on the Galaxy A13 is a 50MP sensor with an F1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an F2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro sensor with an F2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with an F2.4 aperture.

The Galaxy A13 is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit. It supports 25W fast charging via a Type-C charging port. Similar to other mid-range Galaxy handsets, Samsung will not bundle the 25W fast charging adapter in the box. The smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a micro-SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Galaxy A13 comes in four colour options—peach, white, black, and blue. It measures 165.1 × 76.4 × 8.8mm and weighs 195grams. Samsung is yet to announce the Samsung Galaxy A13 pricing and availability.
