Samsung had launched its upper mid-range Galaxy A53 smartphone in March 2022. Now, almost a month later, it’s getting its first software update. The latest firmware is said to improve camera stability and packs in the latest April 2022 security patch.
The latest firmware A536BXXU1AVCC is currently rolling out in the following European countries—Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. More regions such as India and South Korea are expected to get the update in a few days/weeks.

The Samsung Galaxy A53 sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits of peak brightness. The display gets Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The handset is powered by an octa-core Exynos 1280 chipset built on the 5nm fabrication process. It is equipped with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
For photography, it comes with a quad-camera setup comprising a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, a 5MP macro lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. The selfie duties are handled by the 32MP front-facing camera.
Some noteworthy features of the Samsung Galaxy A53 include 5G, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, GPS, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, face unlock, and an in-display fingerprint sensor, among others. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery under its hood coupled with 25-watt fast charging support.
