Samsung Galaxy A73 5G And Galaxy A33 5G Launched In India: Price, Specifications

After launching the Samsung Galaxy A13, the Galaxy A23, and the Galaxy A53 5G, the Korean tech giant has now launched two more A-series handsets in the Indian market—the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and the Galaxy A33 5G. The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G brings the 108MP camera to the A-series, but lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G comes in two configurations – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The pricing is as follows,

Samsung is offering a ₹3,000 instant discount on purchases via ICICI Card, SBI Credit Cards, and Samsung Finance+. The Galaxy A73 5G will go on sale starting 8th April in the country. The brand is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the Galaxy A33 5G.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G Specifications and Features

The Galaxy A73 5G flaunts a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (1,080 × 2,400 pixel) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel houses the front selfie shooter inside a centered punch hole notch and features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Under the hood, the handset sports an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, fabbed on TSMC’s 6nm process. The system on chip brings with it an integrated Adreno 642L GPU, X51 5G modem, up to 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB onboard storage. The handset boots Android 12 based OneUI 4.1. Samsung has also promised four years of Android OS updates and five years of security patch updates.

The Galaxy A73 5G offers a quad-rear camera setup and an LED flash. The Galaxy A73 is also the first A-series handset with a 108MP camera which has optical image stabilization support. Accompanying it is a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens with an F2.2 aperture. The device also has a 5MP macro and a 5MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, it offers a 32MP shooter.

The Galaxy A73 5G comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery unit and supports 25W fast charging. It has a Type-C charging port, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a micro-SD card slot, and a stereo speaker setup with AKG sound. It also features IP67 water-resistant rating and supports Samsung Pay as well.

The Galaxy A73 5G will be available in three colour options—Gray, White, and Mint. It measures 163.7 × 76.1 × 7.6mm and weighs 181grams. In terms of connectivity, it offers Dual-SIM, 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, and Glonass.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G Specifications and Features

The Galaxy A33 5G offers a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1,080 × 2,400 pixel) and a 90Hz refresh rate. It features an Infinity-U notch and offers Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

Powering the Galaxy A33 5G is an octa-core Exynos 1280 processor that is built on a 5nm fabrication process. It brings with it an integrated Mali G68 GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. The handset comes pre-loaded with OneUI 4.1, based on Android 12, and is eligible for three Android OS upgrades. Additionally, Samsung promises to push Android security patches for four years.

The Galaxy A33 5G offers a quad-rear camera setup including a 48MP primary sensor which supports OIS and has an F1.8 aperture. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens that has an F2.2 aperture. The handset also has a 5MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. Also, there is a 13MP shooter at the front for selfies and video calls.

The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery unit that supports up to 25W fast charging. It relies on a Type-C port for charging and data transfers. It offers a micro-SD card slot, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and a stereo speaker setup with AKG sound. However, it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack.

The handset comes in four colour options—Peach, Blue, Black, and White. It measures 159.7×74×8.1mm and weighs 186grams. Similar to A73 5G, the A33 5G is also IP67 rated and offers the Samsung Pay feature.
