Samsung Galaxy F42 5G with Dimensity 700 Chip, Triple-Camera Setup Likely To Launch Next Week

Samsung is churning out smartphones at steady intervals. A few weeks ago, it launched the Galaxy A52s 5G and the Galaxy A22 in India. Now, it seems that the Korean company is prepping to launch the Galaxy F42 5G in India. It will be the first 5G handset in the Galaxy F series. According to IANS, Samsung will launch the Galaxy F42 5G in collaboration with e-commerce giant Flipkart during the Big Billion Day 2021 sale.

The report also sheds some light on the Galaxy F42 5G’s features. It will likely come with support for up to 12 5G bands for wide 5G coverage. Apart from 5G, the device will cover other wireless radios such as dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.

The device will feature a Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. However, it is not clear whether Samsung has gone with an OLED or an LCD panel. Based on the previous leaks and rumours, the Galaxy F42 5G might pack in MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor. You can expect the phone to have up to 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

As per IANS, the phone will probably ship with a triple-camera setup at the rear. The main sensor will be a 64MP module with two ancillary cameras for wide-angle photography and depth sensing. Samsung will go with a 5,000mAh battery capacity to power the Galaxy F42 5G. It will be compatible with 15W fast charging. On the software front, you can expect the handset to run Android 11 with OneUI 3.1 on top.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Launch Date

The Galaxy F42 5G is expected to go official in the last week of September 2021. However, it will start shipping in October 2021. As of now, there’s no information regarding its pricing, but we expect it to be priced around the ₹20,000 mark.
