Samsung Galaxy F42 5G With 6.6-inch 90Hz Display, Dimensity 700, 12 5G Bands Support Launched In India

Samsung has launched a new Galaxy F-series smartphone in India: Samsung Galaxy F42 5G. The new smartphone is the rebranded variant of the Galaxy A22 5G and the Galaxy Wide 5. The latter was launched in South Korea a few days ago. Some key features of the Galaxy F42 5G are its 6.6-inch 90Hz Full HD+ display and support for 12 5G bands. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 64MP triple-camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery that offers support for 15W fast charging.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Price In India, Availability

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G price in India starts at ₹20,999 for the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹22,999. However, Samsung will sell the smartphone with an introductory price of just ₹17,999 via Flipkart during the Big Billion Days Sale 2021.

The device will go on sale in India starting October 3, 2021. Apart from Flipkart, the device will be also available via Samsung’s India website. The Galaxy F42 5G is available in two color variants: Matte Aqua and Matte Black.

Samsung Galaxy F42 5G Specifications, Features

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD Infinity-V display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs Android 11 out of the box with One UI 3.1.

The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. Connectivty features of the phone include a dual-SIM card slot, 4G VoLTE, support for 12 5G bands, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. At the rear, the Galaxy F42 5G sports a triple-camera setup that includes a 64MP primary main camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. 

For selfies and video calling, the handset features an 8MP front-facing camera. The device houses an Accelerometer, gyro, geomagnetic sensor, and proximity sensor. The smartphone also features a microSD card slot and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that is embedded in a power button.
