Samsung has announced new software updates for its older Galaxy foldable lineup and the Galaxy Watch 4 series. The company has confirmed it will roll out the One UI 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 starting September 5, 2022. Later on, the update will be expanded soon to the Galaxy Z Fold2, Z Flip and Z Fold. On the other hand, the brand will make select features from the One UI Watch 4.5 available on the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Watch Active 2 with the new software update.

The update also includes the revamped taskbar which lets the user switch between apps faster, thereby providing a familiar PC-like layout. Furthermore, the One UI 4.1.1 brings in a multi-window feature as well.
With the new software update, the company is also adding new gestures to the older foldable devices. With this, users will be able to instantly switch between full-screen apps and pop-up windows or split their screen in half for more ways to manage their tasks. The One UI 4.1.1 also brings in the Dual Preview feature, by which the user and the subject can view the photo at the same time before it’s captured by displaying the image both on the Main and Cover Screen.

The new software update also includes a Quick shot feature which lets you see the preview and take photos in their true ratio on the Cover Screen. The One UI 4.1.1 update also brings all the new features to the Cover Screen on the Galaxy Z Flip series. With the newly added feature, user can make calls to your favorite contacts, dial back missed calls and even reply to texts with voice-to-text and emojis right from the Cover Screen.
