Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra Gets Pro Mode Support For 3x, 10x Zoom Cameras

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is one of the best camera phones out there. It features a 108MP ISOCELL HM3 primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. Samsung’s stock camera app features a Pro mode that allows users to adjust ISO, exposure, shutter speed, focus, and white balance while clicking images. However, the Pro mode only works with the 108MP primary camera and the 12MP ultrawide camera. A few months ago, the company had revealed that Galaxy S21 Ultra users will soon be able to use Pro mode even with the telephoto cameras. Now, the South Korean tech giant has fulfilled its promise by releasing a completely new camera app: Expert RAW.

Samsung Expert RAW Camera App Brings Pro Mode To Galaxy S21 Ultra’s Telephoto Cameras

Samsung took it to Samsung Community to make a formal announcement. The Expert RAW app is available via the Galaxy Store app store in South Korea, and with this app, Galaxy S21 Ultra users will now be able to use Pro mode with all the rear cameras on the smartphone, including both 10MP zoom cameras (3x and 10x). The Expert RAW app allows users to adjust the following aspects:

• Contrast
• EV (Exposure Value)
• Highlights
• ISO
• Focus
• Saturation
• Shadows
• Shutter Speed
• White Balance

The Expert RAW app allows users to capture images in HDR, Lossless JPEG, and 16-bit Linear DNG RAW formats. DNG RAW images captured using the app can directly be opened in the Adobe Lightroom app. Samsung’s Expert RAW app also has an on-screen button, so users can edit the images without shuffling between the apps.

Samsung’s Expert RAW app is in the beta phase right now and can only be installed on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra units running Android 12-based One UI 4.0. Samsung aims to launch the stable version of the Expert RAW app soon. It also promised to release the app to the Galaxy S21+ and the Galaxy Tab S5e.
