Samsung has finally started rolling out the One UI 5.0 beta update for Galaxy S22 series smartphones such as the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra in Germany. The first beta update of the One UI 5.0 version was supposed to be released back in July, however, there was some delay from the South-Korean smartphone maker.
The new software update comes with firmware version S90xBXXU2ZHV4. As of now, Samsung is yet to reveal all the One UI 5.0 changes. The brand might announce more details about its One UI 5.0 software at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Event.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Gets One UI 5.0 Beta Update
The latest update for the S22 series has brought Android 13 features along with some newly added features which Samsung has added in its custom One UI 5.0 version. The new software update brings a redesigned notification center and smoother animation for an enhanced user experience. Furthermore, it enables Optical Character Recognition for the Gallery, allowing users to copy text from screenshots.
The changelog mentions some notable features such as stackable widgets, improved sound and vibration settings, better search in My Documents, new features for Bixby Routines, options to filter notifications from noisy apps, new emojis plus the option to make videos with two emojis, new AR stickers and much more. With this new software update, the brand appears to have improved Samsung DeX and updated some native apps such as Samsung Internet, Health, Pay, Members, the Galaxy Store, SmartThings, and others.

The stable release of the One UI 5.0 beta update is expected to happen sometime in October. We can expect the company to release the One UI 5.0 beta update for more devices in the upcoming days. Furthermore, we will learn more about the One UI 5.0 software version at next week’s Galaxy Unpacked 2022 Event.
