Samsung has started rolling out the latest Android 12L software update to its Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets. With this, the Galaxy Tab S8 series has become the first set of tablets to receive the latest Android 12L software update with One UI 4.1.1. Do note that Android 12L was announced last year and promises to bring an optimized user interface for large-screen devices such as tablets, foldables, and Chrome OS devices.
The update is currently being rolled out to the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra in Europe and South Korea. Both cellular and Wi-Fi versions of the tablets are eligible to receive the update.

The latest software update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 comes with the firmware version X70xBXXU2AVH2, while the firmware version of the update for the Galaxy Tab S8+ model is X80xBXXU2AVH5. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is getting the update with firmware version X90xBXXU2AVH2. The update measures 2.3GB in size and will need about 2.5GB of free storage.

As for the features, the Android 12L update for the Galaxy Tab S8 series brings a new taskbar that stays at the bottom of the screen and allows for faster navigation between apps and more efficient multitasking. It also allows you to open apps in split-screen mode or a pop-up view. Furthermore, the new software update allows app names to be displayed in the edge panel.
The latest One UI 4.1.1 version allows you to extract text from any image, share it with any app, or translate text into a different language. Additionally, you will be allowed to set a different caller background for each contact. Besides, the new version of the My Files app lets you search for information within files.
Once you install the latest Android 12L update, you will be able to rearrange your favourite sites on the Samsung Internet web browser and sort bookmarks between folders. The update also brings along the ability to edit a collection of wallpapers for the lock screen.
