Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event Set For August 10

Samsung has finally announced its next unpacked event for August 10, 2022. According to past rumours, the brand is expected to announce its newest wearable, earbuds, and new foldable smartphones at this event. The company will be live streaming the launch event on its official YouTube channel and Samsung.com. The event will begin at 9:00 AM ET (6:30 PM IST) on August 10. Let us take a look at what the brand could launch at next month’s event.

Samsung Galaxy Flip 4, Galaxy Fold 4 Expected Specifications

According to the teaser revealed by Samsung, the event could see the announcement of the Galaxy Flip 4. The device has been in the news since the last couple of months, thanks to the leaks related to the smartphone floating online. When it comes to the specifications, the upcoming clamshell smartphone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. The outer screen on the handset is expected to 2.1 inches in size. Powering the device could be a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Other key features could include a 3,700mAh battery, 25W fast charging support, 10MP selfie camera, and a dual 12MP camera setup.

Alongside the Galaxy Flip 4, Samsung is also expected to debut the Galaxy Fold 4. This handset is rumoured to sport a 7.6-inch AMOLED display with 2K resolution. The device might feature a 6.2-inch display on the outer side. Similar to the Galaxy Flip 4, the Fold 4 might be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It might feature a 50MP triple-camera setup and a 10MP selfie camera. The device is expected to pack a 4,400mAh battery which could offer support for 15W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging.

Meanwhile, Samsung is also expected to debut its next-generation wearables, the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, on August 10. Additionally, the South-Korean tech giant is rumoured to introduce the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro on the same day.
