Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, 5 Pro Press Renders, Specifications Revealed

Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Watch 5 series during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. The series will consist of two models—the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. Ahead of the launch, the press renders and specifications of the upcoming Samsung wearables have surfaced online. Let us take a look.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro Expected Specifications

According to a Winfuture report, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will be launched in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will arrive in a single 45mm size variant. The main difference between the standard and Pro variants is that the latter features a titanium chassis, a larger display, and a bigger battery.

As for the specifications, the Galaxy Watch 5 will reportedly feature a 1.19-inch AMOLED display with 396×396 pixel resolution, whereas the Watch 5 Pro will come with a bigger 1.36-inch AMOLED screen that offers a resolution of 450×450 pixels. Both displays will come protected with a layer of sapphire glass.

Furthermore, the 40mm model of the Galaxy Watch 5 is said to be powered by a 284mAh battery, while the 44mm variant of the smartwatch will pack in a 410mAh unit. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is expected to arrive with a 550mAh battery unit, which may last for up to 80 hours on a single charge. The Watch 5 series will reportedly support up to 10W of wireless charging.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series is said to come equipped with an Exynos W920 processor, which will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM. The smartwatch is also expected to come with features such as NFC, GPS, a heart-rate sensor, blood oxygen saturation tracker, and ECG.
