Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Large Moniker Revealed By Indonesian Telecom Certification

Samsung is all set to unveil a variety of new products at its flagship Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to be held on August 10, 2022. Alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the company will also launch the Galaxy Watch 5 series during the event. The series consists of two smartwatches—the Watch 5 and the Watch 5 Pro. The vanilla Watch 5 will arrive in two sizes—40mm and 44mm. If a new report is to be believed, Samsung will launch the 44mm variant under the moniker “Galaxy Watch 5 Large”. Let us take a look at the details.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Large Listed On Indonesia Telecom Website

According to a report by tipster Mukul Sharma, the moniker Watch 5 Large has been listed on the Indonesia Telecom Website with the model number SM-R910. This means that the 44mm variant of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will most likely arrive as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Large. Apart from the moniker, the tipster doesn’t mention any other specifications of the upcoming Samsung wearable.

Based on previous reports, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Large will launch in Sapphire, Black, and Silver colour options, whereas the Samsung Watch 5 with 40mm dial will launch in Black, Silver, and Pink Gold colour variants. In terms of battery, the Watch 5 Large is said to pack in a 397mAh battery, while the 40mm variant of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will feature a 276mAh cell. Both smartwatches will sport a circular dial made of metal.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series is expected to feature an improved version of the BioActive sensor to enable users to effectively track their overall health stats. As for the pricing, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 44mm variant is expected to launch with a price tag of EUR 286.90 (roughly ₹23,270), while the 40mm model of the smartwatch might be priced at EUR 259.98 (roughly ₹21,000).
