Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next-generation foldable smartphone dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. The smartphone is tipped to launch during the brand’s Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled to be held in August this year. However, the brand has not yet officially revealed the launch date of the device.
While there have been several leaks surrounding the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, a recent update suggests that the device has been spotted on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website in the U.S. The listing reveals a few key specifications of the upcoming Samsung foldable. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 FCC Certification Details
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 has been listed on FCC with the model number SM-F721U. The listing reveals that the smartphone will feature Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11a/n/ac/ax, GNSS, NFC, and wireless charging. The device was also reportedly used with a wireless charging pad during the certification process. Based on the FCC listing, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 will support multiple global 4G and 5G bands. Lastly, the listing suggests that the phone’s antenna will be present on the left side of the device.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Specifications (Expected)
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 was spotted on Geekbench back in May this year. As per the listing, the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm 8+ Gen 1 processor coupled with Adreno 730 GPU. The listing also revealed that the upcoming Samsung foldable will run on Android 12 Operating System, and will launch with 8GB of RAM.
For photography, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is said to offer a dual 12MP camera setup and a 10MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is expected to feature a 3,700mAh battery, which is said to offer 25W fast charging support.
In terms of display, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 might feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display on the device is expected to be a 2.1-inch AMOLED screen. The smartphone is expected to boot Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 out of the box.
