The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, which was held last night, was jam-packed with the launch of many new products such as the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the Galaxy Watch 4, and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. One of the highlights, however, was the Galaxy Z Flip3, a new clamshell foldable smartphone from the brand that succeeds the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, which was launched last year.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 isn’t drastically different from its predecessor. However, it does pack many features that people had requested, such as a larger cover display, a high refresh-rate foldable screen, and a faster charging speed, all of which make the phone a more mainstream product. Plus, the phone is cheaper than before, which means that it will be accessible to a wider range of people.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Price
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 price is £949/€1,049 (approximately ₹97,634) for the base variant in the UK and European countries; it has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage. The other variant on offer packs 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and it costs £999/€1,099 (approximately ₹1,02,778). The foldable phone is currently available to pre-order in these regions and it will go on sale from August 11.
What about India, though? Well, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is currently available to pre-order in the country with a booking amount of ₹2,000. People pre-ordering the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in India will get the Galaxy SmartTag, worth ₹2,699, for free. The company, however, has not announced the Galaxy Z Flip 3 price in India yet. Samsung has listed the Galaxy Z Flip 3 on Amazon India as well, confirming that the phone will be available to purchase from the e-commerce website.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Specifications
The Galaxy Z Flip 3, as the name suggests, is a clamshell smartphones and it has two displays, a foldable screen on the inside and a cover display on the outside. The foldable screen is a 6.7-inch AMOLED unit with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a center-mounted punch-hole for the front-facing camera. The cover display, which sits beside the primary cameras of the device, is a 1.9-inch AMOLED panel with 260 x 512 pixels resolution.
Powering the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. As mentioned earlier, the phone is available in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. On the software side of things, you get the Android 11 operating system with the One UI 3.5 customization. It is worth mentioning that the phone does not get a microSD card slot.
In terms of imaging, the Galaxy Z Flip3 has a dual-camera setup on the outer shell, a 12MP main sensor with dual-pixel PDAF and OIS, and a 12MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree FoV. The primary camera can record 4K videos at up to 60 frames per second. For selfies, you get a 10MP camera on the foldable display; it can record 4K/30fps videos.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 packs a 3,300mAh battery with 25W wired charging and 11W wireless charging. It also offers 4.5W reverse wireless charging, which will be helpful to charge wearables, like a watch or TWS earphones. In terms of connectivity, the phone has two SIM card slots with support for 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. There phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and a IPX8 rating for water resistance.
