Samsung Odyssey Ark Gaming Monitor With 55-inch Curved Display, 165Hz Refresh Rate Launched In India

Samsung has launched the Odyssey Ark, its 55-inch flagship gaming monitor, in India today. To recall, the South Korean tech company had introduced the Samsung Odyssey Ark at the IFA 2022 event. Speaking about the specifications, the Odyssey Ark flaunts a 55-inch curved display that uses a Mini-LED backlight and QLED technology. The 14-bit VA QLED panel offers 4K resolution and up to 165Hz refresh rate. It also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support and a typical brightness of up to 600 nits.

The Samsung Odyssey Ark 55 is priced at ₹2,19,999 in India and it is already available for purchase through Samsung’s official Indian website. The monitor comes with a 3-year warranty and the company is offering a 2TB Portable SSD for free as an introductory offer. Besides, users can also avail an instant cart discount of ₹10,000 in addition to a free 1TB Portable SSD T7 Shield USB 3.2. Do note that the discounts offer are valid from October 7 to October 9, midnight.

Samsung Odyssey Ark 55 Specifications, Features

As mentioned above, the Samsung Odyssey Ark 55 features a 55-inch curved display. The screen uses a Mini-LED backlight and features QLED technology. Furthermore, the display QLED display panel offers 4K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 1ms grey-to-grey response time. The display panel also has AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, HDR10+ support, a typical brightness of up to 600 nits, and a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits in HDR.

As far as the rest of the key features go, the monitor has four speakers and two central woofers with Dolby Atmos support which can deliver a sound output of 60W. Furthermore, the monitor also has a Game Bar feature and a Cockpit Mode which offer gamers a cockpit-like immersive experience.

The Odyssey Ark also has Gaming Hub on board and Alexa voice assistant support. It runs the company’s in-house Tizen OS, through which users can stream OTT apps such as Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video. The other notable features that this new monitor offer is Samsung Health, Wi-Fi 5 support, Miracast, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Tap View, a USB Type-C port, an Ethernet port, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and SmartThings.
