Alongside the Apple Watch Series 8 and the Apple Watch Ultra, Apple also unveiled the second-generation Apple Watch SE during the ‘Far Out’ event. This new smartwatch features a design similar to that of the first-generation Apple Watch SE. It comes with a faster processor, though. It also features crash detection, improved health tracking, and a colour-matched composite material.

Apple Watch SE (2022) Specifications, Features

The second-generation Apple Watch SE (2022) comes in 40mm and 44mm versions. The 40mm version has a 1.57-inch OLED screen, while the 44mm version has a 1.78-inch OLED screen. Both sizes of the new affordable Apple Watch SE have an aluminium case. Apple says that it has redesigned the back case with a colour-matched nylon composite for added comfort.

The new smartwatch is equipped with the same Apple S8 processor that’s used in the Apple Watch Series 8 and the Apple Watch Ultra. It features an accelerometer, barometer, compass, GPS, gyro, and a heart rate monitor. It can track fitness, health, workouts, and even sleep quality. It features a microphone and a loudspeaker.

The connectivity features of the Apple Watch SE (2022) include GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi b/g/n, and NFC. It lasts 36 hours on a single charge, and it charges wirelessly via a proprietary charging solution. The smartwatch comes pre-loaded with watchOS 9 with improved features.

The Apple Watch SE (2022) is priced at ₹29,900 in India for the GPS-only version. Its GPS+Cellular version costs ₹32,900. Both the prices are for the 40mm dial size. The 44mm version is priced at ₹32,900 for the GPS-only variant and ₹37,900 for the GPS+Cellular model.
