Sony KD-32W830 Android smart TV with HDR and Google Assistant support launched in India at Rs 31,990
Sony has launched the KD-32W830 smart TV in the Indian market on Monday. The price of this new TV is Rs 31,990. That is almost twice the price of other 32-inch TVs in the Indian market. Take the 32-inch smart TVs from OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Realme for example. All of them cost around Rs 15,000. While the Sony KD-32W830 seems to offer more features than the competitors, only time will tell how many people will spend double the money for a few extra features. The Sony KD-32W830 is available to purchase from the brand’s official online store and authorized retail outlets.

The Sony KD-32W830 features a 32-inch LCD panel with Direct LED backlight technology, HD (1,366 x 768 pixels) resolution, and a 50Hz refresh rate. The display supports HDR10 as well as HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma). According to the brand, the TV features an X-Reality Pro chipset to process the picture. As for the audio, it has two 10W speakers in stereo configuration and support for Dolby Audio.
When it comes to the UI and more specifically, smart features, the Sony KD-32W830 runs on the Android TV operating system. However, the brand has not revealed which version of the OS does it feature. The TV is equipped with the Google Play Store for you to download third-party apps. There is 16GB of internal storage to store applications and media.
You get a built-in Google Chromecast to stream content from your smart devices to the TV. There is also support for Google Assistant for hands-free control. The voice assistant can be summoned using the remote control and you can also operate the TV from Google Assistant-equipped smart devices.
In terms of connectivity, the Sony KD-32W830 has dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, 3x HDMI ports, 2x USB Type-A ports, 1x optical audio out port, 1x Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The TV comes with a table stand and it also supports 100 x 100mm VESA mounts.
